Seoul — Sky Labs has launched CART BP, a ring-type personal blood pressure monitor designed for continuous 24-hour use, including during sleep, according to the company.
Sky Labs said CART BP has been approved by South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). It is built on technology from its hospital-grade model CART BP pro, which the company claims is clinically validated and used in ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) in hospitals.
Unlike traditional cuff-based monitors that compress the arm, the company argues the ring form factor enables measurement during overnight periods when arm cuffs are impractical. The mobile app includes a “My Blood Pressure Calendar” tool to display average values and fluctuations by time and date, helping users observe patterns.
CART BP is available via Sky Labs’ online store on Naver Smart Store and Coupang. Buyers first receive a sizing kit to determine ring size; the customized device is then delivered.
Sky Labs has also signed an exclusive domestic distribution deal with Daewoong Pharmaceutical for sales to hospitals, clinics and consumers nationwide. The company also announced it will donate CART BP units to elderly residents in remote areas with limited access to medical infrastructure as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
