Biograph leverages advanced diagnostics focused on cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction, brain health, cancer and quality of life.
Renowned healthy aging expert Dr Peter Attia has created a stir with the launch of preventive health and diagnostics clinic Biograph. Co-founded by Attia and tech entrepreneur John Hering, the clinic adopts a proactive healthcare model that prioritizes early detection and personalized care.
Currently operating in the San Francisco Bay Area with plans for global expansion, Biograph aims to help individuals extend their healthspan and lifespan by leveraging state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive health assessments. The clinic says its methodology involves collecting over 1,000 data points from more than 30 medical evaluations to generate highly personalized health insights. These assessments span five key health pillars: atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction, brain health and neurodegenerative disease, cancer risk and early detection and quality of life metrics.
Advanced diagnostics are at the heart of Biograph’s offering. The clinic employs cutting-edge medical technology, including whole-body MRI scans, cardiovascular imaging, genetic testing, neurocognitive assessments and multi-cancer early detection tests. By integrating all of this information, the clinic claims it delivers a more nuanced picture of an individual’s health, allowing for targeted interventions and lifestyle modifications.

“Diagnostics are foundational to evaluating and implementing an effective health strategy informed by a systems-based approach, as well as comprehensive analyses that consider each data point within the context of an individual’s entire health picture,” said Attia. “Biograph’s evaluation is best in class, which is why I recommend my patients start here.”
Biograph’s preventive strategy is designed to detect and address issues before symptoms emerge, ultimately shifting the focus from disease treatment to long-term wellness optimization. The clinic’s membership model comprises a “Core” option, priced at $7,500, which provides a detailed, one-time health assessment. The “Black” membership, at a cool $15,000, offers ongoing expert support, regular consultations with specialists and at-home monitoring tools to refine health strategies over time.
Having already been in operation for some time before its official launch, Biograph claims it has identified urgent or life-altering health insights in more than 15% of its members, uncovering conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and neurodegenerative disorders. The clinic’s methodology has been developed under the guidance of Dr Michael Doney, an emergency medicine physician who transitioned to precision longevity research.
“My transition from emergency medicine to the preventive health field stemmed from a conviction that patients deserve a more comprehensive understanding of their health and well-being,” said Doney, who serves as Biograph’s executive medical director. “Recognizing the variability in quality among health tests, scans, and assessments, I was drawn to Biograph’s mission. We are committed to providing the most in-depth analysis of a broad range of health factors, enabling members to not only extend their lifespan but, more importantly, to optimize their healthspan and overall quality of life.”
As part of its expansion strategy, Biograph says it will open its second clinic in New York City’s financial district imminently, with plans to establish up to six additional locations both domestically and internationally.
“Inspired by one of my best friend’s cancer diagnosis, Biograph was founded on the belief that with the proper application of advanced medical technology and early detection, we can save lives,” said Hering. “There is no greater investment we can make in the future, as individuals or humanity, than in our health. With an approach rooted in scientific evidence, Biograph is poised to be an integral catalyst helping to redefine what it means to live a better and longer life.”
