Omada Health has introduced Meal Map, an AI-based nutrition experience designed to evaluate the nutrient quality of meals rather than relying on traditional calorie counting. According to the company, Meal Map is integrated into its existing Nutritional Intelligence platform and offers real-time feedback on meal composition, weekly reports on nutritional progress, and guidance through dietitian-vetted recipes.
In a pilot involving over 1,000 members, the company claims Meal Map boosted meal tracking and member engagement relative to standard methods. Omada says the tool aims to help users build long-term healthy habits, especially in the context of fluctuating dietary trends and growing use of GLP-1 medications.
Meal Map operates alongside Omada’s care teams. Users’ tracked meals help power personalized recommendations, and the system channels insights through its AI-driven nutrition education engine, OmadaSpark.
Omada Health, a virtual-first healthcare provider focusing on chronic and cardiometabolic conditions, serves health plans, employers, and healthcare systems. The company says its tools are underpinned by years of clinical research and behavior change protocols.
