Elektra Health, a virtual menopause care provider, announced the expansion of its insurance network in New York State, now adding Fidelis Care and MetroPlusHealth plans starting September 1. The company said that with these additions, its coverage now reaches more than 95 % of women insured under commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans in the state.
Elektra already held in-network status with plans including EmblemHealth, Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Healthfirst, Molina, MVP Healthcare, Oscar Health, and UnitedHealthcare. The company claims this makes it the most broadly covered virtual menopause care provider in New York.
Elektra delivers personalized care for women across perimenopause through postmenopause using virtual clinicians certified by the Menopause Society, supported by coaches and nurses. The company offers a private digital platform where members access medical support, education, and peer discussion on topics such as hormone replacement therapy.
Since its launch in 2019, Elektra has partnered with health systems like UPMC Magee-Women’s, Mass General Brigham, and Mount Sinai to integrate its services through patient portals. According to the company, in 2024 Elektra became the first virtual menopause provider to accept both commercial and government insurance plans.
