Huma, a New York-based global digital health company, has announced the launch of Hi-Scribe, a generative AI-powered tool designed to automate clinical documentation and billing processes. The company said that Hi-Scribe is already being used in over 100 U.S. hospitals and clinics.
According to Huma, Hi-Scribe captures patient-clinician conversations in real time and produces structured clinical notes that meet billing and compliance requirements. The tool is reportedly capable of generating SOAP and H notes, streamlining medical coding, and integrating with major electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Dan Vahdat, CEO and founder of Huma, said, “Hi-Scribe is more than just a transcription tool—it’s a clinical assistant that is always listening, learning, and adapting.”
The company claims that clinicians using Hi-Scribe save an average of 75 minutes per day on administrative tasks. It also said that the tool supports over 50 medical specialties and subspecialties.
Huma stated that Hi-Scribe complies with HIPAA and SOC 2 standards, and that all data is encrypted and handled through U.S.-based servers. The company also emphasized that clinicians maintain full control over the final documentation, with the ability to review and edit generated notes before submission.
With growing demand for AI-enabled support in healthcare, Huma said that it plans to scale Hi-Scribe to more institutions globally.
