Health-technology firm Function Health announced that its co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Swerdlin, was selected by Goldman Sachs as one of the “Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2025” during its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California. According to the company, the honor was drawn from candidates across multiple industries.
The company claims that its platform offers access to more than 100 lab tests plus advanced MRI and CT imaging powered by FDA-cleared AI. It says these tools aim to detect early signs of illness — including heart, hormone, cancer, and brain health issues — before symptoms appear.
Function Health states that its annual membership costs US $499 and provides continuous tracking, secure storage of results, and clinical insights. It asserts that the suite represents about eight times more testing than a typical physical, which it says averages 19 lab tests. The company also reports that since mid-2023, nearly 200,000 members have joined.
Goldman Sachs describes its Builders and Innovators Summit, now in its 14th year, as a gathering for founders and CEOs of hypergrowth companies. It says honorees often go on to lead companies in both private and public markets.
