Chi Longevity launches ‘world’s first’ evidence-based healthy longevity gym

Singapore clinic acquires brain-body fitness firm Sparkd and integrates optimization of cognitive performance and physical health.

Singapore-based longevity clinic Chi Longevity has announced the acquisition of brain fitness firm Sparkd and launched what it claims is the first evidence-based healthy longevity gym in the world. Dubbed “Chi Longevity with Sparkd”, the new venture integrates medical diagnostics with cognitive and physical fitness interventions to target aging, brain function and physical health.

Chi Longevity, a Singapore-based clinic founded by geroscience researcher and healthy longevity specialist Professor Andrea Maier, is an evidence-based preventive medicine practice. Sparkd, founded by Anna Milani, is Asia’s first “brain-body fitness” concept designed to enhance cognitive and physical performance.

“We know that when exercise is a prescribed intervention for longevity, people are more likely to stay committed,” said Milani. “By aligning Sparkd’s innovative brain-body training with Chi’s medical expertise, we are creating something truly unique.”

Cognitive function is a significant component of healthy longevity. Our brain’s processing speed and memory begin to decline in the late 20s, with noticeable slowdowns in reaction time, working memory and multitasking by midlife. By the age of 60, episodic memory, attention and problem-solving abilities deteriorate more significantly. With increasing public awareness of these issues, Chi Longevity’s acquisition of Sparkd was driven by a growing demand for cognitive enhancement solutions and follows the clinic’s recent expansion into the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore.

“With the addition of Sparkd to our growing business, we’re taking this integrated approach beyond rehabilitation, making brain-body longevity training more accessible and effective for a wider audience,” said Chi Longevity co-founder Lindsay Cooper. “This collaboration is an organic evolution as we scale regionally and globally. By combining Sparkd’s expertise in cognitive-physical training with Chi’s advanced diagnostics and action plans, we are setting a new gold standard in healthy longevity.”

Unlike cognitive training programs that primarily focus on seniors or neurological rehabilitation, Chi Longevity with Sparkd is designed for prevention and peak performance across all age groups. Led by experts in neuroscience, longevity medicine and elite performance training, the program combines functional movement, mobility, balance, cardiovascular conditioning, resistance training, motor skills and coordination with cognitive exercises. Clients benefit from continuous monitoring of cognitive performance, reaction times, memory, balance, endurance and muscle strength, interpreted through Chi Longevity’s systems biology framework.

“Training programs will be guided by medical diagnostics, such as cognitive function and metabolic health markers, ensuring targeted and measurable outcomes,” added Milani. “This collaboration makes cognitive motor training, physical training and performance optimisation accessible beyond just fitness enthusiasts – ultimately bringing it to a global audience for the first time through the recent Four Seasons partnership. The future of longevity isn’t just about living longer, it’s about living sharper, stronger, and healthier for longer.”
