Company’s platform integrates labs and more than 500 connected devices to support personalized healthcare with real-time data.
US healthtech company Junction has raised $18 million in a Series A funding round to advance its mission to support healthcare’s shift towards decentralized models. Formerly known as Vital, the company’s platform enables healthcare organizations to deliver more personalized and efficient care by connecting patient data from labs and electronic devices in real time.
The healthcare industry, including the emerging field of longevity medicine, is increasingly shifting toward decentralized care, with more services being delivered outside traditional settings. However, Junction says that healthcare’s technology infrastructure often remains heavily reliant on outdated systems, including legacy lab vendors, manual processes and siloed data.
Junction’s platform is designed to enable a more dynamic form of healthcare, driven by automation, predictive analytics and real-time decision-making. It enables seamless lab ordering for both in-person and at-home testing, and also integrates with over 500 wearables and devices, as it aims to provide a continuous, comprehensive view of patient health.
“Junction is transforming healthcare by addressing its most critical pain points: scalability, convenience, and data-driven decision-making,” said CEO Maitham Dib.
The company has already made significant progress, supporting over 140 healthcare organizations, including the likes of longevity-focused telehealth provider Lifeforce. Junction says it currently handles more than 500,000 lab tests annually and manages data from over two million connected devices.
The funding round was led by Creandum, with participation from Y Combinator, Point Nine, Amino Collective, and Inflect Health. The investment will enable Junction to scale its platform, grow its team, and expand its API network.
“Data is the bottleneck to unleashing the potential of new technologies like AI in healthcare,” said Creandum’s Sabina Wizander. “Patient data often sits in silos in legacy systems, captured using outdated methods like fax and pen and paper. Junction solves this problem, unifying and integrating healthcare data so that it can become actionable for preventative care.”
Speaking about the rebrand from Vital to Junction, Dib said that the company has always been focused on helping healthcare systems operate more effectively.
“As Junction, our new brand reflects the pivotal role we play in connecting systems, data, and patient care seamlessly,” he said.
