Healthy Longevity Clinic, based in Barcelona, has been named a Top 40 Semifinalist in the Milestone 1 phase of the XPRIZE Healthspan competition. The global contest, which offers $101 million in prize funding, aims to incentivize breakthroughs that extend healthy human aging.
The company said it is the only clinic in Spain to reach this stage, placing it among the top 9% of the 1,000 registered and 141 evaluated teams worldwide. The semifinalists will now move forward in the five-year competition, which culminates in 2027 with the final award of $81 million.
Healthy Longevity Clinic claims that its selection underscores the clinic’s approach to evidence-based longevity care. The clinic focuses on data-driven diagnostics and personalized health plans designed to delay or prevent age-related diseases.
“Being chosen as a semifinalist in the XPRIZE Healthspan competition is a recognition of our commitment to science-backed, personalized care,” said co-founder and medical director Dr. Francisco Martínez Peñalver.
The XPRIZE competition is structured in three milestones. Semifinalists will next work toward Milestone 2, where teams are expected to demonstrate measurable improvements in biological age using a multi-omic evaluation model developed by XPRIZE.
Healthy Longevity Clinic said its inclusion validates the clinic’s strategy of combining medical expertise with innovative diagnostics and lifestyle protocols aimed at improving long-term health outcomes.
